Smooth Wave Jazz is based in San Antonio, Texas and was launched on July 31, 2010, after 6 long months of planning by, 16 (now 18) year old and National Honor Student, David Gonzalez.
Since the stations launch, Smooth Wave Jazz has been serving Smooth Jazz listeners in 103 countries and has received an incredible amount of media attention from around the United States, including "Forbes", "CNBC", and "La Prensa San Antonio" by declaring its mission to increase smooth jazz music and concert sales around the world by bringing teens plus the mainstream audience into the genre. The mission of Smooth Wave Jazz is the teen involvement in the Smooth Jazz genre, as we all know the music is declining right now, terrestrial radio stations are dropping left and right as the audience of smooth jazz is starting to fade away. This can all change when teens start to get exposed to this beautiful style of music.
